People especially concerned with indoor-air quality will be pleased to know that the S5000 series was tested against one of the world's most stringent filtration standards (EN 1822). As expected, virtually all particulate matter was contained within these vacuums, earning the S5000 series a HEPA certification for the entire vacuum. Like all other Miele vacuums, the S5580 Aquarius is constructed from ABS plastic material, making them durable for a lifetime of use. Additionally, these vacuum cleaners come standard with crush-proof hoses and carry three useful accessory tools on-board. Introduced in this product series are Miele's electric telescopic wand for complete flexibility and cleaning convenience and floor tools developed with a holder clip for increased stability when using Miele's unique carrying, storage or parking features. The new direct connect electric hoses for this series are wider, increasing airflow, and are ergonomically designed for maximum comfort. The electric powerbrush connection is "direct connect" at the canister, removing the need for an exterior wire connection, and it too rotates 360° for maximum convenience. The S5580 Aquarius comes equipped with either Miele's SEB217-3 Electrobrush which is ideal for low to medium pile carpet or the SEB 236 full-sized Electrobrush which adjusts to any type pile and is ideal for people who have pets. The Aquarius comes with the Parquet floor brush and has integrated tools, dusting, upholstery and crevice tools that are conveniently kept under the lid.
